about

Originally written and recorded in 1998, this solo album by Phil Bourne has been remixed in 2022 for this official release.

‘Phil Bourne’s musical pedigree stretches back to early 80’s cult band Colours Out Of Time, whose debut single ‘Rock Section’ remains the greatest piece of musical buried treasure of the era - check it out!

But pop music (as in popular music) is all about the breaks. Why this solo album, written and recorded in 1998 didn’t get them is beyond me - it is superior guitar-based pop stuffed with hooks, in fact hooks within hooks, a song writing masterclass blessed with cascading harmonies and outstanding guitar playing.

Home recorded before home recording was prevalent, and with astonishingly high quality sonics, this collection of songs has thankfully finally seen the light of day. A masterful record, brilliantly presented, play it loud on repeat and enjoy!'
